PRAAABE -2008 - Inaugural ceremony a.k.a expected anticlimax

evening all.....
Im writing this after spending an exhaustive day in college, engaging myself in several frutiful and productive activities.. The past couple of days have been nothing short of pure fun with the , "ECE Association of NIT Trichy", organizing an ,"international", technical symposium titled PROBE '08 (pronounced PRAABE ).. It was a great event and all of us third years were so occupied with it that there was absolutely no time for a breather.. ( surreptitious wink)
PRAABE witnessed an earth shattering participation of " 25 " external colleges of the 89 that were invited. 12 of the chosen few got to witness the grandeur and unfathomable might of the legacy that is NITT (S.W) .
PRAABE took off on a very positive note with Mr.<_____> letting us in on some of his experiences during his stay in our college. He was eulogistic about the present administration and expressed his glee at witnessing how NITT had grown to be one of the premier institutions in the country under the able guidance of Dr.P.Chidambaram, director , NIT Trichy. He also advocated that he was happy to see the institute growing out of the idiosyncrasies of the past whose emulators he sarcastically referred to as 'visionaries' .
It was then followed by an illogical speech by the Head of our Department, Mr.B.Venkataramani . Following this piece of writing was the oratorical birth anniversary of Dr.S.Raghavan (karka karka kallum karka....etc...) who , for once , made the speech boring (after all...he did invite the guy...).
Following he incident, we had a fair and lovely version of a Mr.cadaverous of our college giving us tips on..er.. well..just making a speech. After the ceremony we were served snacks ( cake, veg roll) which we ate with as much a temperament as an egyptian slave enjoying his gruel. Such was the hardwork expected of our batch, and i am proud to say that we never let other people know we were responsible for everything that was PRAABE.. The End..

To note: PROBE '07 was pronounced PRABE , while PROBE '08 was pronounced PRAABE to attempt a possible analogy to Moore's law.
Henceforth PROBE'09 will be called PRAAABE and so on and so forth.....

Bye all....
